BAND MEMBERS
Billy Hills – vocals and rhythm guitar
Billy has been playing guitar since the age of 6 and has always been a big fan of rock music. His influences include Nickleback, Foo Fighters, Paige and Linkin Park. His father was a keen bass player for a band in the 80′s and is one of the reasons for Billy’s love of music and playing. Billy uses a Fender American Telecaster hooked up to a Hayden MoFo Classic Head and a Hayden 2×12 cabinet to produce a great sound.
Lewis Warren – bass
Lewis started playing bass since 2010 and he has rapidly become an integral part of The Side Effects as he has the knack of seamlessy interacting with the drumbeat while also tying into the surface melodies of the other band members.
His influences are mainly drawn from bands like Arctic Monkeys and The Strokes but in contrast to these, bands like Black Sabbath, Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Led Zeppelin also are an inspiration. He currently plays a Epiphone Thunderbird through and Ashdown ABM 500 EVO III head and an ABM-115 cabinet.
Jack Eggenton – drums
Jack has been a huge fan of rock music since the tender age of 6 when he was introduced to New Found Glory who remain one of his favourite bands. He started playing drums when he was 10 years old after being influenced by his sister’s boyfriend who is the drummer with Paige. His biggest band influences are Paige (obviously!), Paramore, Blink 182 and New Found Glory. Jack’s favourite drummers are Zac Farro, Travis Barker and Cyrus Bolooki. His current set-up is a four piece Pacific drum kit made by DW, Zildjian ZXT’s and Vic Firth 5B sticks.
